With a view to realign government of Canada’s goal with
labour market needs, Mr. Jason Kenney, Honourable Minister Of
Citizenship, Immigration And Multiculturalism has announced an
action plan for faster immigration for the year 2009, which presently
includes only 38 professions. This is applicable
to those clients who applied on or after Feb 27, 2008. Skilled
workers from these professions will reach Canada between six to
twelve months as against the present processing time of four to
six years. Please note that this list is not final and professions
will keep getting added/ subtracted on a regular basis

Priority Occupation List (POL) on date consist of 38
categories and are processed on Priority. Applicant with minimum
of One Year of Experience and can attain the minimum of 67 points
is eligible to file for Canada Immigration..
Age
Your points score is calculated based on your age on submission
of the application.
Education
A lot of stress has been laid on the academic qualifications of
the applicant. People with higher education and good skills earn
more points.
Language Ability
Maximum points are awarded for the First language i.e English
(English or French for Canada) for its high proficiency.
In case of Canada, additional points are also awarded for higher
levels of proficiency in the second national language of Canada
i.e English/French. Knowledge of French is also essential for
Quebec Provincial Nominee Program.
Work Experience
The Canada immigration points system wants individuals with at
least 1 to 4 years of full time experience
Arranged employment
You earn additional points if you have a job offer approved by
Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC)
Adaptability
If your spouse has gained education till Post Secondary level
or more, you could earn additional points. This is only applicable
under Skilled Worker category.
Studied or Worked in
Canada
If you or your spouse have studied
for two years or/and worked for minimum of one year in Canada
you can get points for that.
Relatives in Canada
If you or your spouse have a relative then you can get additional
points (relative may
be parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, child of a parent,
sibling, child of a grandparent, aunt or uncle, or grandchild
of a parent, niece or nephew who is residing in Canada and is
a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident).
Settlement Funds
Note:-
1.) If your occupation presently does not included on the preferred
occupation list for Canada , we need to reassure you that you
can still qualify for Canada if you or your spouse have any experience
for one year under any of the 38 professions and balance of the
experience is under the NOCs falling into category ‘O’,
‘A’ or ‘B’. In addition in case you obtain
an arranged employment offer (AEO) through your friends/ relative/
colleagues to get Work Permit or are residing/ have resided in
Canada for one year on a legal work permit or as an international
student can also qualify.
2.) On to the above we can also arrange
post landing services right from airport pickup, accommodation
to job search assistance.
